2008-09 Bruin Cup

What is the Bruin Cup?

The Bruin Cup is a trophy that goes to the team that accumulates the most points throughout the school year by participating and winning Intramural sports.

What do you have to do to be eligible for the Bruin Cup?

You have to register your team with the Campus Recreation staff. In order to receive points for participating and winning Intramural sports events, you must use this team name for every event in during the school year. All fraternities, sororities, residence halls, and student organizations do not have to register their team names.

Each non-greek and non-resident hall teams will have to turn in a roster at the beginning of the year of the students who will play on their team for the school year.  Each group roster will be limited to 35 students.

How does the point system work?

Each team will be awarded points for participating in Intramural sports events. At the same time each team will have points deducted for games that forfeited. The idea is to show up for every game and play. There is also a point value assigned for placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the events. Please check the event pages to see the point values.
