Volleyball Tournament

Tournament Dates:
Bruin Cup Points:
1st - 300 pts.
2nd - 150 pts.
3rd - 75 pts.
1) Minimum of 4 players, Maximum of 6 on the court at a time.
2) You must have an equal amount of men and women on the court at all times.
3) Server must be in the service box.
4) Serve can be either underhand or overhand
5) No back court attacks. Back court attacks must be behind the back court line.
6) No attacking the serve. You must either bump the ball or set it.
7) Any contact in the net at anytime will be a violation.
8) The net line is the line beneath the net. If one foot totally crosses the line it is a violation.
9) Hitting or No Lift: Any hit that with an open hand below the shoulder is illegal.
10) Holding: Any set must be a continuous motion at initial contact.
11) Double net violation on both teams will result in players replaying the point.
12) Teams must call their own lines and are on the honor system.
*All games will be played to 30 points (win by 2 points), with a 35 point cap.
Rally scoring will be used in all 3 sets.
*You must win the best two out of three games.
** If a third game is necessary the game will be played by rally scoring to 15 points (win by 2 points) with a 21 point cap.
*** If two teams can not settle a disputed call the IM Supervisor will step in and make a decision.
