Students receive a foundation of liberal arts with an emphasis on a professional education. Established in 1890 in Nashville, Tennessee, Belmont has enjoyed a reputation as a caring community preparing its students and graduates to achieve both personal and academic excellence. Belmont continues to be ranked in the top 10 percent of colleges and universities by Peterson's Competitive Colleges.
Belmont grants six undergraduate degrees - Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration, Fine Arts, Music, Science, and Nursing. The university offers nine graduate degrees- Master of Accountancy, Business Administration, Education, English, Music, Music Education, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. The university also offers a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
