Journal of the Short Story in English
The Journal of the Short Story in English (
JSSE), published semi-annually in June and December by the
University of Angers Press in Angers, France, was founded in 1982.
The guiding principle of
JSSE has been to solicit contributions from specialists on
the short story from all over the world. Guest writers such as
Mavis Gallant and John McGahern have attended the conferences held
at the University of Angers and at Belmont University, and many
have granted extensive interviews in which they discuss their
craft.
