Purpose

To recognize and encourage excellence in the residence halls of Belmont University in the following ways:
  1. Inducting the top 1% of Belmont University students as members
  2. Coordinating the submission of bids for regional and national awards, including '...of the Month' awards.
  3. Recognizing those who contribute to student life in the residence halls through appreciation efforts and events
  4. Promoting leadership development among residential students.

How do you “celebrate excellence”?

We celebrate excellent students, programs, RAs, RDs, and even staff members each month by submitting a form called an OTM that describes why either the event or a person deserved should bet recognized in the Belmont Community.

What is an OTM award?

OTM stands for “Of the Month” and it is an award given to a person (resident, RA, RD etc) or an activity (such as a program in your residence complex) each month that demonstrates excellence in building community.

How do I get an OTM award?

You have to be nominated! To be nominated, someone has to fill out one of the forms (top right) and send it in! Simple as that! Your submission will be read and reviewed by a committee and you will be contacted as soon as possible with the results! The bad news is you cannot nominate yourself. But the GOOD NEWS is here at Belmont we celebrate both the OTM award winner and the person who submitted the OTM form equally. This is a great honor and a very prestigious award!
