Considering a Career in Social Work?
Social work is a dynamic and diverse field of study for people who want to spend their lives helping people in need. Social workers are often therapists and counselors. They serve in a variety of settings including schools adoption agencies and hospitals and work to help a broad spectrum of clients including troubled youth, the elderly, people with addictions and the homeless. Social Workers may also work to improve public policy and begin to make changes to help a large number of people.
No matter the setting, the common goal of social workers is to help people in need to meet the challenges of life with hope, courage and dignity.
