Students with Disabilities

The Office of the Dean of Students provides support and assistance to students with documented disabilities:  attention deficit disorders, learning disabilities, physical disabilities or psychological disabilities. All support services follow the criteria set out by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973:“No otherwise qualified individual with a disability in the United States shall, solely by reason of disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”

If you think you may have a disability and need to receive testing, contact the Office of the Dean of Students for a referral to an off-campus agency.

The Office of the Dean of Students maintains a national resource directory that can provide helpful information regarding disabilities for students, parents, faculty and staff.
All accommodation requests are the responsibility of the student. See below to review the difference between high school and college.
